Rainbow Village is the newest member of the Marin Village family whose mission is to help older adults remain independent in their own homes and communities, with dignity and peace of mind.
Rainbow Village was formed to help Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) seniors remain in their homes and maintain active, independent lifestyles. Our organization of members and volunteers combines old-fashioned neighborliness with modern processes to help meet our members' needs.
What's the status of Rainbow Village?
Rainbow Village successfully launched socially, is now in our recruitment stage with a more formal launch event planned for later this year. We are presently recruiting new volunteers and members. Join our Volunteer Team! There is no minimum time commitment and nothing is 'assigned', rather you choose the volunteer activities that interest you, when you are available. More info and applications are available on our About Us page.
Want to join us for an informational coffee?
Keep a look-out for upcoming coffees to learn more about the Village Movement, Marin Villages and the new Rainbow Village. Getting together with us will help you learn about the exciting new group of Marin senior LGBT’s joining together to help other Marin senior LGBT’s remain independent and lead active lives.
Join us for coffee, snacks and a brief introduction and discussion of the non-profit Marin Rainbow Village program. If you are interested in joining us for coffee, inviting a few friends and/or hosting an informational coffee program at your home, call the Marin Villages office at 415-457-4633 or email us: RBV@marinvillage.org
