Have you wondered what all the hoopla is about regarding cannabis use? Some of our members have expressed curiosity about the implications of the changes that went into effect January 1st due to the passage of Proposition 64. Given the interest in this topic we invited Dr. Bedard to come talk with us and help us better understand both the history of cannabis regulation and what the impact of these changes may be, particularly for our demographic. The format of the session will be about half presentation and half Q&A, so bring your questions for a lively session.
If his name is familiar, you may know Dr. Bedard from around the county. He was elected and is currently serving as a director on the Board of the Marin Healthcare District. Before that he practiced emergency medicine for more than 30 years, working in Marin General’s Emergency Department from 1979 – 2001. He is an active advocate on medical issues at the local, state and national levels and is President of the Marin Medical Society.
Co-hosted by Mill Valley and Twin Cities Villages, the session will be held in the Community Room of the Central Marin Police Station at 250 Doherty Drive in Larkspur. There is plenty of parking at the station and you are encouraged to use the Piper Park lot.
Be sure to put this on your calendar and please bring a friend or neighbor.
